London Graduate Fashion Week - 2022

London Graduate Fashion Week was a bitter sweet affair for some students, as many people were still on edge and somewhat concerned about the lingering cloud of Covid.

For a fashion student, you spend three years thinking about how to get your University to select you for GFW... and upon securing that vaunted invite you still need to juggle your academics so that you can secure a 1st and know you didnt needlessly waste your time and money if everything goes wrong.

Some people remarked that attendance numbers across Uni fashion shows at Lewis Cubitt Square (during that week) seemed a little thin and some shows were remarkably rushed. I didn't really know what to think, but I was going to enjoy every minute of the exposure regardless...

For me, this show finally meant that the training wheels were off and I could start putting my business plan into action. I had polished a couple of my outfits since the Fashanne result and was hopeful that my work might get more recognition among a London centric audience.
